The official headquarters hotel for the Parents as Teacher Conference is the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark. Be sure to register under the Parents as Teachers National Center group name to receive a special $125 rate at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark. Deadline for reservations is October 16, 2010. After this time, we cannot guarantee group rate for attendees. Also note that the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark does not accept purchase orders for payment.

Parking: Hilton at the Ballpark’s hotel garage is Valet only. The cost is $24 per night. Self parking is available across the street at the Stadium East garage, located at the corner of Walnut & Broadway. The cost is $16 per night, which can be added to your guest room account. Your car must be out of the garage by 2:00 PM on your day of checkout to avoid an additional $10 charge.

Debit/Credit Card Usage at Check In: You will be asked to present either a credit or debit card upon check-in. Whether a debit or credit card, the card you provide will have funds held by your bank for the amount of your total guest room charges plus $30 per day for incidentals. It is not a charge, but an authorization to verify your account has substantial funds to cover the total estimated charges. This amount may not be accessible to you for up to 72 hours after check out, at which time the actual charges for your stay will go through. For example, if you are staying at the hotel for 2 nights at a $100 rate, when your card is swiped at check-in it will send an authorization to your bank in the amount of $200 + tax for your room AND $60 ($30 per night) for incidentals. Those $260+ funds will be held against your available balance until up to 72 hours after checkout, at which time the actual amount of your stay (as seen on your final hotel receipt) will go through.

Transportation (airport to/from hotel)
There are several travel options from Lambert-St. Louis International Airport to the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark Hotel.

• Taxi: A taxi will cost approximately $50 one way.
• GO BEST Express Vans: GO BEST desks are located in the Main and East Terminals in the baggage claim areas. Tickets are $21 one way or $37 round trip and can be purchased in advance by calling 314-222-5300 or at www.gobestexpress.com. Vans leave every 15-30 minutes daily, but call for exact service
  times for the low-cost, van shuttle service to downtown hotels.
• MetroLink: St. Louis’ light rail system, for $3 one way. The closest stop is at the Stadium Exit, which is a few blocks from the hotel.

No-show policy: If you have a room reserved and do not show, your card will get charged for 1 night’s room and tax. Please notify the hotel by 4pm on the scheduled day of arrival if you will no longer be coming in order to avoid this charge.

Holding Rooms beyond 30 days:  When making your hotel room reservation, you may hold up to 5 rooms under one name. However, 30-days out from the start of the conference, those like names must be replaced with the names of individual guests who will occupy those rooms. If the names are not revised within 10 days of the start conference, the hotel reserves the right to cancel the duplicated reservations.
