Dear Parents as Teachers

"I just wanted to say thanks. I made my first personal visit using the new Parents as Teachers Foundational materials. Yes, it took more time to prepare but it did make me focus more on the individual family I was about to see. The visit was strange at first. I have been seeing this family for more than a year, but today we reached a new level in our partnership. It was great! We talked about the whole family and were able to address some of their real issues. I left feeling like I had really accomplished something that was different from other visits. Thank you Parents as Teachers."
Sometimes it's not the families who write to us, it's the parent educators we train. Recently Parents as Teachers deepened its approach to working with families. Now, with an emphasis on family well-being, parent educators are trained to focus not just on child development but on building protective factors within each family that provide an environment in which parents and children grow and develop together.

What could be better than that?
