Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • News tracking, proofreading, data entry
  • Reporting, writing and information gathering for newsletters
  • Writing press releases and pitching to media

"Forget all of those horror stories you have heard about internships, the Parents as Teachers National Center Marketing/Communications internship was amazing. I was a valued member of the team with my own responsibilities. There was always someone ready to help me learn and answer my questions. And the only person’s coffee I ever got was my own!"  Brianne

"Be prepared to make a meaningful contribution. You'll have meetings scheduled and assignments on day one. I wrote blogs, feature stories, and press releases for the Parents as Teachers website and newsletter, all with constructive feedback along the way. In this internship, your effort and progress are measurable, which will prove very helpful when discussing your time here with future employers."  Jacob
